Using the data
The data is free to use under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence (CC BY 4.0). You can share it and build on it, for any purpose, as long as you credit Letchworth Weather, letchworthweather.com.
It comes from an amateur weather station and is checked only automatically, so readings can be missing or wrong. It comes with no warranty.
What’s in the file
Records and hourly data: temperature, dew point, humidity, pressure, wind speed, gust, wind direction, rain, rain rate, UV, solar radiation and evapotranspiration. Hourly values are means, except the highest gust and rain rate and the rain total.
Daily data: the high and low temperature and when they happened, daily means, the highest and lowest pressure, the strongest gust and when it was, the rain total, the highest rain rate and UV, and evapotranspiration.
Times are UK time with their offset from UTC, e.g. 2026-09-28T14:00:00+01:00. A record is timed at the end of its 5 minutes, so the one at midnight belongs to the day before. An hour is timed at its start. An empty cell means there was no reading. Each column name gives its unit, e.g. temp_c.
For programs
The download link works on its own:
It takes from, to, interval (record, hour or day), format (csv or json) and units (metric, uk or us). The API description has the details. Please download a range once rather than polling it.
